Nineteenth century has been regarded as the locus of change for radical novelties in the government mentality and life style of the Ottoman Empire. The buildings, which constitute the most important and permanent signs of change in life style, serve as historical and social documents. The transformation of Ottoman society in the nineteenth century can thus be traced on the base of these documents. With the development of cultural and commercial relations, existing building types developed and newones emerged. In this context, Military buildings, Official and Industrial Buildings, Schools, Commercial and Entertainment buildings and Health institutions were constructed.
