A Sociological Criticism of the Ottoman Social History Studies

Ottoman history is always focused by sociological interest in Turkey. This interest roughly feed by two different perspectives. One of them argues that the Ottoman socioeconomic structure is a uniqueness and original one in its time. The other point of view tries to show that the structure is similar with its contemporaries. However, in the sociological analyses applied to Ottoman history, cultural sphere and mentality domain are generally neglected, meanwhile Ottoman cultural, administrative, economic and social diversity does not take into consideration. This article tries to analyse of these different sociological point of views and their defaults focused on Ottoman history.
